Cary Bernstein, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Mark
Bmistein, has graduated from UNC-G with a B.S. in
child development.
Graduating with honors from UNCC were Lani
Levine, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. A1 Levine, and Max
ine (Mrs. Al) Levine. What a mother-daughter act!
Also graduating from UNCC with honors was Susan
(Mrs. Don) Tepper with a B.S. in psychology.
Scott Twery, son of Mr. & Mrs. ^feymond Twery,
has graduated Phi Beta Kappa from UNC-CH. He
has accepted a position with a firm in Connecticut.
Recently graduated from Naval Officer School in
Newport, R.L are Daniel Coleman, son of Mr. &
Mrs. Louis Coleman and Mara Hurwitt, daughter of
Mr. & Mrs. David Hurwitt. You can address them as
“Ensigns” now.
Debbie Weinreb, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Ben
Weinreb, graduated from Western Carolina Universi
ty. She received a Bachelor of Science in Education
degree with a major in Mental Retardation.
Leah Beth Diamond, daughter of Mr. & Mrs.
Harvey Diamond, received her B.A. in Urban
G^graphy from the U. of Miami. She has been
awarded a fellowship for graduate study at the Un
iversity.
Pearl (Mrs. Alan) Mann received a B.A. from
Queens College.
Blair Lisa Schiffman, daughter of Mr. & Mrs.
Murray Schiffman has graduated from Winthrop
College.
The Sol Shapiro household has been quite busy
with all of their daughters graduating this year. Cin
dy Shapiro received her MBA from Syracuse Un
iversity with a major in International Business and
Marketing. She has accepted a position with C&S
National Bank in Atlanta. Her sister, Laura
Shapiro, has graduated from the University of
Virginia with a B.S. in accounting. She will be work
ing for Price-Waterhouse in Atlanta. Following in her
footsteps is Marla Shapiro who will be attending the
U. of Va. in the fall. She is a graduate of Charlotte
Country Day.
Busy with graduations has also been the Ed
Nadelman household. Arthur Nadelman received
his B.BA in business administration from Stetson
University. He will be working in West Palm Beach,
Florida. Their youngest son, Lee Nadelman, is a
' (graduate of West Charlotte Wgh School and will be
attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy,
New York in the fall.
