Adult Classes
This Fall has been a busy
season for the Adult Depart-
ment. Workout! And
Aerobics began in early
September. They’ve almost
completed their first ses
sions and are presently
registering for second ses
sion classes. Reconsidering
Commitment - the one ses
sion workshop dealing with
surviving to thriving in the
marriage game was very suc
cessful.
Adult Creative Sewing,
Acting, Computers and Self
Defense for Women began in
October and once again the
JCC is a very busy place
with many people coming
and going for their classes.
Several classes are still
registering, some to begin in
late October, others in
November. You still have
time to register for the
November classes if you
don’t delay.
“Cooking Italian” to be
held on Wednesday,
November 10 and 17, and
“Successful Images for Your
Individual Lifestyles” to be
held on Monday, November
8, 15, 27, and 29 are in the
final stages of registration.
If you are interested in either
class, call the JCC (366-0357)
immeditely.
CHAI
October 4 was registration
day for the Chai Group’s
Fall quarter through Central
Piedmont Community Col
lege. Judy Tager is teaching
Human Relations and after
only one session the
response to the course was
very enthusiastic.
After class, the Chai
Group discussed plans for
this quarter for Monday
afternoon programming,
plans for a trip they would
like to take probably in the
spring and several other
business matters. They then
participated in a transport
ation needs survey which
Lou Albert and Sara Sch-
reibman explained and
helped them complete. The
end of the busy day was the
celebration of the September
birthdays in the group: Kate
Kalmeyer and Annie Gore-
lick. Evelyn Berger provided
this month’s birthday cake
in honor of her mother, Ann
Salsburg”s 90th birthday.
On October 11 after their
H.R. class the Chai Group
went to SouthPark for lunch
and then on to see “Yes,
Giorgio” at the SouthPark
Cinema. October 18 the Chai
Group played Bingo after
their class, lunch and a brief
meeting. Paul Levy, the
JCC’s regular Bingo caller,
graciously agreed to come
and call the exciting games
of Bingo for the group.
