Dennis Geronimus won first prize for fourth graders; Carrie Lambert (fifth grade) and Shara Steiner (first grade) were each given an honorable mention for their posters. A Letter to Kid's World The third, fourth, and fifth graders wrote the following letter to Kid’s World: Dear Kid’s World, Our school would like to be on Kids World. Could you arrange that? We would be very glad. We have many nice things to show you. Our school is very special because it is a Jewish/Hebrew day school. It’s a very small school, only 38 kids. We get a lot of the teachers’ individual atten tion. All the children like the school. In addition to all the other subjects we learn about Jewish holidays and customs. We learn how to speak Hebrew. We learn about Judaic history. Every morning for, half of an hour we do T’filot (Jewish prayers). We have special ac tivities: for instance, every year at the holiday of Purim, we go up to the Blumenthal Home for the Aged and per form for the residents. Now we hope you see why our school is so special, and why we want to be on your show. If you come, maybe you could see the upper school’s Purim play. It’s hilarious!!!
