Havurah Institute is that the
participants give up a week
of their precious vacation

enormously of themselves,
and deriving the greatest
satisfaction and inspiration

cluding workshops, forums,

goes on. With the idealism
that led the founders of the
country to build a Jewish
state, they envision a state in
which all citizens are treated
with justice,* in which
another people is not kept
under permanent suppres
sion.
That is the miracle of
Israel: that, despite her ac
complishments, the ques
tioning, the soul-searching,
and the striving for a more
perfect nation go on.
