1st Class • Basic techniques of making Pasta by
hand and by machine. Shaped and filled pasta in
cluding spinach roll, ravioli, tortellini and capalletti.
2nd Class - Make flavored pasta creations in
cluding tomato-basil pasta with an Alfredo sauce,
spinach pasta and orange flavored noodle pudding.
Bring an apron and come ready to cook and eat a
meal.

INSTRUCTOR: Penny Eisenberg — Penny is a
self-made baker and cook who has been at it for
three years. She loves to work with pasta because
the possibilities are endless.

Wednesdays — 5 Weeks begins April 25
7:30 - 9:30 p.m.
Perhaps you’ve just purchased a 35nun camera
or have had a camera for a while and haven’t
known what to do with all those numbered set
tings. This course will teach participants basic
camera techniques and the use of filters and
lighting in various environments. Students will
go on outings and will utilize critiques to hone
their photographic skills.

flexibility, stamina and cardiovascular health.

Self-Protection

This all day rafting adventure will take par
ticipants thru the clear cold waters of the Nan-
tahala gorge. Even the inexperienced paddler can
enjoy this rushing river in the Nantahala Out
door Center’s heavy-duty rafts. Experienced
guides accompany each trip, teaching paddling
technique and whitewater safety. Trips go rain
or shine. Transportation will be by carpool.

A Mecklenburg County Police Department
program for women and girls 14 years and over.
Participants will leam security in the home, care,
and street. Attack prevention and action alter
natives during an attack, are presented. Mothers
and daughters are encouraged to come together
to the evening program.

Exclusive Free Cultural Series
for IVIembers of the JCC
The Jewish Community Center will sponsor a series
of three cultural performances for its membership,
beginning in April. Each program is offered to the
membership at no charge. The three events are made
possible by the generosity of the performing group and
by grants. Reservations may be made at the JCC,
366-0367 for any or all of the productions.
