The Time For Camp Is Now
Camp Maccabee is just
around the corner and things
are really coming together
nicely. StEiff has been hired
and each staff member is a real
prize.
Registration for the 1st ses
sion is equal to that of last
year at this point and is up for
the second session!
Our Israeli Shalialle, Sarah
David, will be coming in dur
ing the week of June 17. She
is 23 years old and her
specialties include all facets of
camp crafts and nature
studies. Sarah will add a
wonderful Israeli flavor to
camp and will be a great aid in
Jewish programming. At the
present, we are looking for
housing arrangements for
Sarah for the seven weeks. If
you are interested in the op
portunity to get to know
Sarah and would like to share
your home with her for a part
of the seven weeks, please con
tact the JCC.
We are looking forward to a
great summer line up so if you
haven’t sent in your registra
tion yet call the JCC at
366-0357 for a brochure. The
summer is upon us!
Camp/Counselor Orientation
June 24, the night before Camp Maccabee begins, will be
camper orientation. All campers and their parents are invited
to come to the JCC to meet their counselor and see the camp.
Orientation will begin at 6 p.m. and last until 7:30 p.m. More
information will follow; watch the mail and come and meet your
counselor!
Soccer News
Our teams had a great
season this spring inspite of £dl
the wet weather. Both teams
have played well and should be
proud of their improvement
during the season.
Our many thanks go to
Coaches John Bloom and Alan
Kronovet for their fine instruc
tion and leadership. They’ve
produced some great soccer
players this season!
We will end our season with
team dinners and awards at
Godfather’s Pizza. All in
terested children should watch
for news of our fall soccer
season and keep their running
and kicking legs in shape un
til then.
