The session ended with the awarding of Cer tificates during our semester- end luncheon and we look back on our 8-week seminar with great enthusiasm. Our course, “Exploring Human Relation ships Through Literature,” in cluded reading of short stories by various authors, from James Joyce to Eudora Welty. Led by Jim McGavran, Pro fessor of English at UNCC, discussions went from the deeply philosophical to the hilarious: death, friendship, sex. We read about and dis cussed it all. We are looking forward to starting a new session sometime in January or February, subject matter still to be decided. We anticipate that the next seminar will be as stimulating as all our previous ones have been. Watch for news of the next “Alive” offering. — Betty Jaffe Mini'Camp Talk about fun! The JCC Winter Mini-Campers had wonderful fun! This is what they did those three days in December: ran obstacle courses; finger painted; made hand puppets; saw a story about Chanukah on film; did aerobics; watched Harlequin Mime perform and learned how to do some mime them selves; built sculptures out of clay and out of wood; ran relay races; listened to stories; sang songs. Altogether they had a fun and educational ex perience with their peers. JCC MEMBERS ONLY □I Discount tickets ($2.75) available at “J” office for theaters at EASTLAND SOUTHPARK, and CHARLOTTETOWN.
