When you call the Federa tion/Foundation offices, you are usuaUy greeted with a cheery message from Gloria Hunter. Gloria says that she loves her job as secretary for Federation/Foundation because, although it does become hectic at times, the people...staff, volunteers, com mittee workers...are so in teresting to be with. A native Charlottean, she took night classes at Kings College, then worked for an in surance underwriting firm before coming to Federation two and one-half years ago. Listening to music is a great joy for Gloria, and, she says, “I’m into weight lifting, doing the exercises I find in my son's fitness magazines.” Her son, Foster Cameron Hunter, 14, is a student at Cochran Jr. High School An artist, Foster’s painting of Martin Luther King Jr., done in honor of Dr. King’s birthday, is the only one of him on display at Little Rock AME Zion Church dur ing Black History Month. Of course she glows with pride when she speaks about his achievements, as she does also about her daughter Courtney, 4, who goes to Young World. Being a working mother, she fmds that Courtney is under excellent supervision, with the care being gentle but firm. They sfiend as much time to gether in the evenings and on weekends as possible.
