"'And The Walls Go Rumbling Up"
Masons starting at bottom of Athletic Center’s wall and work
ing their way up.
Looking like a spring garden about to flower. Athletic Center’s
locker rooms await their dividing walls.
While buildings go up, outdoor pools are going down.
Now it looks like field of gravel but plumbing and electrical
work lie buried beneath. Soon cement will be poured for floor
of Education Center.
The first long braces in place over the gym.
Bath house, standing with all its compartments showing, awaits
its brick veneer.
Digging deep for the diving well in the outdoor pools.
What began at bottom is nearing completion at top. Result:
a beautifully textured brick surface covering Athletic Center.
Raising roof on Fitness Center portion of building. This sec
tion is over gym.
Floor of running track above, circling gym. Final running sur
face to be laid on cement base.
Getting ready to pour concrete for Education Center
classrooms.
Brickwork completed at one of two major entrances to facil
ity. Entrance faces future Temple Israel site. On ground (L &
R), will rise Education Center, joined by a bridge over this
entrance.
