Once upon a time
a long time ago in a land far, far
away there was this guy named
Moses. He started his career in a
swamp and it was practically aW
downhill after that. Chased out of
town by an army without enough
time to bake his bread, he had sand
in his shoes for 40 years looking for
a place to live. And he survived a
burning bush and a mutiny by His
followers. Despite his troubles, he
was able to give something,
deliverance and the “Ten Com
mandments,” for starters.
When we contact you to make
your pledge for the 1986 Jewish
Welfare Fund Campaign, we might
hear that you have payments on
your new car, that you’ve just done
some redecorating, that you’ve got
two kids in college right now, that
your business is ju.st coming back,
that you’ve just moved into a new
office.
We’d like to remind you that
those aren’t troubles.
They're blessings.
When we call, don’t abdicate.
Celebrate.
Moses had troubles.
You don’t
Dayenu.
