The Blumenthal Education Building will feature an Israeli theme carnival. Designed to afford participants a chance to visit its many and varied classrooms, the carnival will offer booths and prizes. The carnival is cosponsored by the Temples and the Academy. Gorelick Hall will contain displays and information booths for each of the Jewish institutions and organizations. The gallery alcoves will feature an art and photo display. Refreshments will be served overlooking the outdoor pool complex. They will be provid ed by the “J”. The entire event has been developed by the Foundation Special Events Steering Com mittee under the leadership of Alan Blumenthal, Chair. Members of that committee include: Ed Moline, Mark Bernstein, Louise Bernstein, Brenda Meltsner, Marcia Simon, Roz Greenspon, Emily Zimmern, Mattye Silverman, Phyllis Schultz, Lisa Foley, Elliot Sanderson, Ginger Snitz, Judy Sutker, Larry Segal, Bobbie Pollard, Patti Gorelick, Florence Jaffa, San dra Gunn. Professional staff include: Arthur Tirsun, Lisa Vernon, Rabbi Robert Seigel, Stan Swig and Marvin Bien- stock. Public Relations and public ity for the “Opening” will in clude special supplements in The Charlotte Observer on May 18 and in this issue of The Charlotte Jewish News. Special TV coverage and features have been arranged. The PR Committee is chaired by Bob Conn and includes: Lloyd Scher, Rita Mond, Anne Yudell, Phil Joffe, Ann Langman and Jeff Lyons.
