Page 9-THE NEWS-September, 1986 In And Around The JCC Mother’s Morning Out Swim Team Honored Visual Mother’s Morning Out provides a rich and st-imulating en vironment for the very young child while providin.g parents with a necessary respite from the rigors of child care, ^low teacher- pupil ratio (1:6) ensures that each child will receive ample at tention while being allowed to develop in their own unique fashion. Learning is a natural by-product of healthy develop ment. A child wants to learn, to gain skills that enable him/her to be independent and competent. At the “J” we foster these ^skills, while nurturing the cWld’s sense of self worth, by creating an environment of controlled challenges. By placing your child in the J’s program you are providing him/her with a rich set of experiences and demonstrating your understanding of the importance of quality early childhood education. A child’s early experiences form the base upon which all future intellectual, social and emotional developments grow. The purpose of the JCC’s Mother’s Morning Out program is to provide a high quality first experience for the toddler. Within a warm, secure environment, staffed by professional caregivers, your child will encounter a range of experiences geared to dif fering interests and temperaments. Such a format will enhance the comprehensive development of the child by building self esteem, encouraging social interactions and presenting a myriad of opportunities to learn through doing. General Information The Mother’s Morning Out program is open to current JCC members. In order to be eligible, your child must be at least 9 months and not more than 24 months on October 16.
