Clinic at the JCC for persons
over 55 on Jan. 19. Blood
pressure and pulse were check
ed and a urinalysis was given.
The next clinic will be held on
Wed., April 29 from 10 a.m.-
noon. On this date, a glaucoma
test will be administered as
well as a blood pressure and
pulse check. In July,
hemoglobin and blood sugar
will be tested followed by flu
vaccines in October. There is
a $5 annual fee for the four

Adult Studies Institute
Session III of the Joint Adult Institute, cosponsored by Tem

creative energy captured per
manently in clay, the oldest
and most enduring form of art.

The A ARP is sponsoring a
free tax counseling clinic at
the “J” in the Chai lounge
every Wednesday from 2-7
p.m. through April 15.
Volunteers treiined by the IRS
and AARP will assist in
dividuals of all ages in prepar
ing their tax returns. There is
no charge for this service. Last
year this clinic was held at
fourteen sites in Mecklenburg

grandfather in the Jewish ghetto of Montreal in the 1920s. Sen
