On Sunday, March 8, the team defeated Greek Cathedral to finish their season 3rd in the CYO League. The Charlotte JCC Varsity (7 & 8 grades) basketball team finished their season with a 3*9 record. “The team showed vast improvement from their first game,” said Coach Jeff Fisher. The team played in a lot of close wire to wire games during the season only to see them come up a basket or two short. After winning in the opening round against the Greek Cathedral team, the Charlotte team dropped the next two games to end their season. Coaches Jeff Fisher and Eric Levine said, “The season was a success, not from a stand point of wins and losses, but from the team-spirit, team work and the ability the players displayed to improve each week.” The Charlotte JCC is proud of every player in their basket ball program for showing ex cellent team spirit, team work and sportsmanship through out the entire season.
