A movie was shown which featured ad vanced medical treatments and new eye surgery now available at the Hadassah Medical Center in Israel. We also were privileged to hear a lecture by a member of the Eastern Seaboard Regional Board of Hadassah. Learning just how far our doUars go in support of these medical pro grams was most enlightening and certainly encouraging. Join us for our next meeting on November 18 at 8 p.m. at Shalom Park. It is going to be a fun night featuring a skit with our members. The Charlotte Chapter of B’nai B’rith Girls, Chai Chaverim BBG, is looking for you. Chai Chaverim BBG participates in community activities, the most recent being the Great Pumpkin Festival held in Uptown Charlotte this past Halloween. Some of the programs and ac tivities, within the chapter, planned for the year are: a Bowl-a- thon, a sleepover, a Mother-Daughter Tea, and in February, our annual Sweetheart-Beau dance. B’nai B’rith Girls is one-half of the B’nai B’rith Organization (BBYO); the boys’ group, Aleph Zadik Aleph (AZA) comprises the other half. We do much of our progranuning with them; the local group is Barak-Mickey Aberman AZA. Our chapter also participates in many youth conventions throughout the N.C. Council and the NCA^A Region. These con ventions give the girls the opportunity to meet other Jewish youth outside of Charlotte. These friendships are an important part of our lives. Anyone interested in joining BBG or needing further infor mation may call our advisor, Wendy Rosen, 364-9765, or the president, Amy Seitlin, 553-0508. Babysitting Service Available Chai Chaverim BBG has something for everyone, including parents. For a nominal fee of $2.50 per hour, a very responsi ble BBG will come to babysit your children.
