Volunteer counselors do not need to be members of AARP. They will be reimbursed for travel and other necessary expenses. The IRS training course for volunteers will be held in January. Persons interested in serving as counselors should call Marion Boyd, (704) 568-8087 before November 15 because individual material for taking the course must be ordered by then. Counselor Guidelines explaining the pro gram £u-e available now from Mrs. Boyd. The training will help counselors in the preparation of their own tax returns as well as providing them with an opportunity for participation in an important public service.
