Magnes, Sept. 18, 1910 Page 7-THE NEWS-November, 1987 ChUdren Will Do Special Mitzvah The children at the Char lotte Jewish Day School will be saving cans to help save burned children. In conjunc tion with the firefighters of Charlotte, our students will be collecting aluminum soft drink cans for recycling by Alcoa. Whatever money is raised by this effort will be donated to benefit the burned children in the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Unit at Chapel Hill. It is a nice mitzvah to be able to help other boys and girls who are less fortunate at times like this, and need our viable sup port. Plus it teaches the students to conserve critical landfill space, conserve our natural resources and at the same time make the effort to help make Charlotte a more at tractive city with a clean en vironment.
