These young people, who represent a cross section of Jewish understandings and backgrounds, come together to form common bonds with their counterparts on both sides of the ocean. It is an unusual experience for any group of Jews to share their frustrations, visions, appre hensions and cultural diver sities, but for teenagers it is also a real mitzvah — for, in their optimism, they are can did with and tolerant of each other. Friendships establish^ at the Youth Assembly will last a lifetime. Lehava is open to qualified young people who have com pleted 10th, 11th or 12th grade and have been to Israel on at least one prior trip. The cost will be approximately $1,650 inclusive from New York. Programmatically, the As sembly deals with key Israel/ Diaspora issues through infor mal ^scussion groups, panels, lectures and person-to-person experiences.
