Box 2258 HENDERSONVILLE, North Carolina 28793 Library Lines By Lenora Stein We are pleased to announce that the Speizman Jewish Li brary at Shalom Park has been awarded a library cita tion by the Library and Publi cations Committee of the Na tional Jewish Book Council of the JWB in New York. The ci tation indicates that the Speiz man Library has met the esta blished national standard for Judaic libraries which serve schools, sjniagogues and com munity centers. The formal presentation of the citation will be made at the National Jewish Book Awards cere mony to be held Thursday, June 2, 1988 at the 92nd Street YM-YWHA in New York City. A reception will follow the Awards ceremony. This is a milestone for our community and is particularly significant in that our citation has been achieved during the first formal year of the library’s operation. Library’s Borrowing Policies 1. All books must be signed out. There are no exceptions. Books have book cards in the back of each volume—just sign the card, stamp the date due and leave the card on the librarian’s desk. Your adher ence to this simple procedure will ensure that we have con trol over the collection and that the next time you want a particular book, IT WILL BE here! 2. THIS IS VERY IMPOR TANT: YOU MAY ONLY BORROW ONE CHILDREN’S BOOK AT A TIME. YOU MAY BORROW UP TO THREE ADULT BOOKS AT A TIME. ABUSE OF THIS POLICY WILL RESULT IN BORROWING PRIVILEG ES BEING TERMINATED. 3. Current periodicals DO NOT CIRCULATE and may not be removed from the library. We have tried to keep the Library’s borrowing policies as simple as possible. Only your observance of them will keep this system in effect. A Small Ad Here Gan Attract Attention!
