Children Celebrated 40th Anniversary of Israel
One of the many events held
at Shalom Park for the Israeli
Independence Day, 40th An
niversary Celebration was the
Children's Art Exhibit, spon
sored by the Jewish Communi
ty Center and the Visual Arts
Committee of the Foundation.
The art show entitled, “In the
Beginning...The Seven Days
of Creation” accepted entries
from children in the Jewish
community in K-6 grade.
Each grade was assigned a
different day of creation.
The art work submitted for
the exhibit encompassed vari
ous different medias, including
collages, crayon drawings, pen
and ink drawings, and acrylic
paintings. The children’s art
