In and Around All About the By Scott Snyder, Program Director The Charlotte Jewish Community Center as a social agency provides for the social, cultural, educa tional and recreational needs of the Jewish and sur rounding community. Ongoing programs are planned to provide opportunities for people as individuals, members of families, and as groups, to grow and develop. There are specific goals the JCC implements into the overall program operations of the agency. They are to maintain and enrich Jewish identity, to enhance social, personal, educational and physical development and to participate in and contribute to the quality of life in Charlotte. When I think of JCC Programming, I think of four key program areas: Informal Education, Social Development, Family Life Education and Recreation. Informal Education programs provide opportunities for self-improvement and emichment to our members and to stimulate leadership potential. The JC is to expand our program offerings to meet tl and desires of our membership all within tl mal framework of educational progranuninj Social Development programs are desig enhance the social and emotional developmei participants involved. It is our intent to pro periential opportunities for youth and adult tions under the supervision of responsible ar ble professional staff in a healthy, informal ( ment.
