There were some interesting summer events held and some yet to come! In May, members headed out to the old ballfield to see the Charlotte Knights baseball game. Afterwards, they went to the Press Box to watch some of the NBA playoffs. Our June program saw the continued emphasis on ath letic events as the lodge visited Coliseum Lanes to try our luck at bowling. Although the talent was better than ex pected, the Pro-Bowlers Tour has nothing to fear, unless they start awarding prize money for the lowest score. High series honors went to Stuart Cohen and Scott Menaker with the low series prize money going to Drew Levinson. August will be busy as we get ready for our yearly kick- off. The annual lodge blood drive will take place on Satur day, August 6, at the JCC from noon-4 p.m. Appoint ments are required; call Jim Meadow, 541-9545, to be scheduled to give blood or to volunteer to help with this event.
