Rebbe Adds New Dimension To the Kosher Kitchen Page 11-THE NEWS-October, 1988 Day School and Preschool Begin In a special address to Jew ish women before Rosh Hash- anah, the revered world Jewish leader, Rabbi Mena- chem M. Schneerson, Luba* vitcher Rebbe Shlita, launched a new campaign which adds a new meaning to the kosher kitchen. The Rebbe requested that a Pushke (charity box) be in stalled in every Jewish kit chen. “The act of charity while preparing food for yourself symbolizes our concern for the ones who are in need. Since the World Beat kitchen is the place where we prepare our meals, it is only fitting that we express our concern in a practical way, which is given to the hungry,” the Rebbe said. The annual pre-Rosh Hash- £inah address c^aws thousands of women from all over the country to the Lubavitch Head- qu2u*ters in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The talk includes important lessons in Torah and practical instructions in Jewish life. ■cont’d from page 4- come to love Israel, and now wished to remain here.
