KALEIDOSCOPE
Afterschool program for elementary school
students. For fun with Mends, sign up for our
Mon.'Fri. 2*6 p.m. enrichment program. Parti
cipants may register for 2, 3 or 5 days a week.
Programs include structured and fun activities:
arts & crafts, games, sports, cooking, swimming, etc. Special dis
count for all Kaleidoscope participants in most a^moon programs.
Van pick-up available for follwing school: Lansdowne, Old Provi
dence, Rama Road, Cotswold and The Omni Montessori Center. If
child’s school is not listed, call Jessica Kranz, 366-5007. Tuition due
by first day of month.
Free Babysitting
Our babysitting service is in need of new
or almost new toys. You will receive one
hour free sitting for your donation. Please
see Susan at the front desk.
BIRTHDAY PARTIES
Let the JCC host a birthday party for your
child. We will provide the room set-up, in
cluding decorations, paper goods, party favors,
two birthday party “leaders” and lots of fun!
Choose from following options and let the JCC

remember. (Party set-up for 12 children. Each
additional child is $1.75.)

Chai-Lites
Join the Chai-Lites on Mondays from 10:30 am.-l:30 p.m. for discus
sion groups and lectures on various topics, exercise classes, the
Golden Age Walking Club and a lot of camaraderie. Wednesdays,
volunteer at Speizman Jewish Library. Enjoy birthday parties and*
cultural events. Transportation available for all programs and ac
tivities. Once a month shoppers can board the JCC van to visit area
shopping centers from 10-1. For more information call Jane Abel,

Luncheon and Movies
Join the older adults one Tuesday a month for lunch at a local
restaurant and a matinee movie. Dutch treat and nominal charge
for transportation.
Field Trips
Field excursions once a month on Tuesday. Past trips have been
to the Blumenthal Home, Schiele Museum in Gastonia, The
Charlotte Observer Building and Blowing Rock. Limited to thirteen
persons. Nominal charge for transportation.
Transportation
Jewish Family Services has made van transportation available to
all Seniors needing this service on Wednesdays and Thursdays for
medical appointments, shopping, visiting friends, etc. A $2 charge
per person. Reservations: call Jewish Family Services, 364-6594 no
later than preceding Tuesday.
