Rosanne Zinn is on the Public Relations/ Communications Committee of UJA. Active in AIPAC and V.P. of the Peach PAC, Georgia Citizens for Good Govern ment, she was actively in volved in the recent election of Senator Wyche Fowler. Since 1974 when she went to Israel on a Young Leadership Mission, there have been numerous visits to Israel with her Israeli husband, and with national Women’s Division Missions. She has served on the State of Georgia Holo caust Commission since 1986. She has also visited Prague, Poland and wiU be in Romania this fall. Interested in helping young people to study in Israel, she serves on the Scholarship Committee of the Tel Aviv University Overseas Student Program. Her knowledge and concern for her feUow Jews in the U.S., in Israel and in Europe, es pecially behind the Iron Cur tain, made her presentation a treat for those attending this special luncheon. Sara Schreibman — 1990 Women’s Campaign Chair Sara began working for and supporting Federation in Bir mingham, Alabama — a direct result of having her dearest friend living in Israel for four years and married to an Is raeli. According to Sara, “She educated me, got me involved and shared her experiences with me, firsthand. My path took a new direction.” Sara was born in Mont gomery, Alabama, the eldest of three daughters. Their for mative years revolved around a small Sephardic community whose members were family and part of the larger Jewish community of Montgomery. She is well aware of dealing with anti-Semitism and prob lems associated with integra tion in the deep south. In Birmingham, while teach ing at the newly formed Jew ish Day School and assisting with a community campaign to build a new facility for the school, she learned the impor tance of Jewish education. Sara moved to Charlotte, as a single parent, without employ ment, and found herself on the receiving end. The Charlotte Jewish community took care of her and her son Mark and Sara Schreibman made them a part of the com munity. After she and Mike were married, with his intense interest in the Middle East and her Birmingham experi ence, they moved toward in volvement in the Charlotte Jewish Federation. She worked for 5V2 years as a professional staff member in programming at the JCC. Sara worked for the Foundation for 2 years during its formative time and beginning of construction of Shalom Park. In 1983, on a Young Leader ship Mission to Israel, Sjira was “hooked” forever. All that Federation does touches Sara, through family, friends or through being a Jew. For these reasons, she feels that volunteering for CJF is one of the most important things she does. 219 > Main St. # F Charlotte-Pineville, NC 28134 889-2427 Vincent Imburglo Marc Vroom OtitsM* Chartott* CaN Ton FrM 1-800-451-5215 Free Delivery 10% discount with ad Patronize Our Advertisers THE /AARTHA WALLACE WOAAAN 'making her entrance with her usual flair'" Specia»ty Shops on the Park . 6401 Mornson Blvd..
