Page 13-THE NEWS-January 1989 Winter Swim Team “Swimmers, take your mark and go!” will soon be heard echoing in the JCC indoor pool. The Winter Swim Team with head coach Shaun Wallace will begin practice on Jan. 8. The team will meet Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:30-6:30 p.m. and Sunday, 12:30-2 p.m. There will be three inter squad meets: Jan. 29, Feb. 19 and March 12. Each swimmer will be awarded points for participation and improvement. The season will end with an Awards Day on Sunday, March 26, 12:30 — 2 p.m. Swimmers interested in competitive swimming may join the team if they are between the ages of 6 and 17, and can swim one length of the pool free style and one length back stroke.
