When you discovered your new best friend hved right around the corner. When your group built a secret campsite and had a secret group password. When you hit your first base ball and sank that first basket. When your counselor hugged you and said your project was great. When your group collected the most firewood for an overnight When your heart skipped a beat as you and the rest of your group performed a Shabbat song. When your birthday was during camp and the whole group sang ‘‘Happy Birthday. ” When you went hiking in the woods and saw animal tracks. When your counselor put his arm around you and said, *fDon *t worry, we*Il win the next one. When you finally were able to swim the length of the pool. When you chose your favo rite activity for Camper Selection Period. When you played soccer, basketb^l, kickball and starred in Shabbat play. American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Upon completion of this course you will be certified to teach swim lessons in the American Red Cross program. You must be 17- years-old, hold a current Advanced Lifesaving card and have completed the Introduction to Health Services Education course through the American Red Cross. Feb. 12-March 26 T/TH 6:30-9:30 p.m. $20 M / $40 NM Calling all day campers of summer 1988! You are cor dially invited to the JCC’s Day Camp Reunion. On this special day, Sunday, March 5, 2-2:30 p.m., you will be reunited with all your old camper Mends and counse lors and share in all the festivities. The activities for the day include a Summer Camp 1988 slide show, camp group activities, refreshments and snacks, discussion of the 1989 camp season, and much more. Parents, this will also be a great opportunity to sign the kids up for Summer Camp 1989 and get in on the Early Bird discount. Do you enjoy working in the outdoors? Have you ever thought of working in a day camp? If you answered “yes” to these questions and are currently in 10th or 11th grade, the Counselor Ti ain- ing Program is available for you. This eight-week train ing course offered by the J will have a presentation by a community expert each week. The presentation will include: open discussion, role playing, actual work experience. Each partici pant will also have the op portunity to develop a game and song file. All partici pants are required to attend each CTP session. The cost is $15 for JCC members and $25 for non-members.
