The Charlotte Jewish News - November, 1995 - Page 15 l£rripkJBethEl November is a Special Month at Temple Beth El It begins with a special cer emony for the installation of Can tor Linda Shepherd. Although, Can tor Shepherd has only been a short time with Temple Beth El she has certainly made an impact with the congregation. Under her direction, the Youth choir has been formed, and performed at a special service in commemoration of National Children’s Sabbath on October 21. They are already in demand, with requests for their appearance! We also celebrate many simchas, including the marriage of Gary Friedlander to Nancy Polk on November 4 , the Bar Mitzvah of Michael Osborne on November 4, the marriage of Scott Salem to Heather Kerns on November 5, the Bar Mitzvah of David Knisch on November 11, the Bat Mitzvah of Erin Cohen on November 18, the marriage of Bobby Pesakoff to Beth Johnson on November 18. On November 15 an Adult Education Lecture will be held at Temple Beth El at 7:00 p.m. Jeff Passe will speak on Bosnia. November 17-19 LIBERTY, Temple Beth El Senior Youth group will be hosting the UAHC NFTY - MAR (National Federation of Temple Youth - Mid-Atlantic Re gion) Fall Conclave. The theme will be the Future of Judaism 2001 and beyond. Youth delegates, approxi mately 200 will be coming to Char lotte for this exciting event.
