CREATIVE EXPLORATION AFTERNOONS CBU.DREN’S THEATRE OF CHARLOTTE The Children’s Theatre offers a variety of classes including puppetry, a radio show, creative dramatics, a kid’s video, circus acts, create a character, mini musicals, and much, much more. These classes will enrich the lives of young people through educational drama experi ences of the highest quality. The class content will change every 8 weeks. Classes will culminate with a “sharing” and parents are cor dially invited to attend. SPIRIT SQUARE CENTER FOR THE ARTS Spirit Square brings a variety of art experiences to the JCC. Students will be able to expand their creative talents with a multitude of dif ferent projects. Whether it’s wearable art, creative painting, sculp ture or collage, every class will be packed with fun. CREATIVE CERAMICS Ask anyone of the many children who have taken ceramics with Jim Whalen and they will tell you that he is absolutely the best teacher ever. He is patient and helps every child develop wonderful creative skills, as well as pride in their work. CHILDREN’S CREATIVE EXPLORATIONS The Children’s and Family Department of The JCC is offering a WINTER SEMESTER of creativity for children, grades K-6. The semester will run from January through March. Eligible athletes must be Jewish and between the ages of 13-16 years old. Athletes will be given the choice to be housed with their coaches or parents in a hotel or in appropriate homes. Sports being considered are track & field, swimming and bowling. These rules are in ef fect immediately. Thank you for your cooperation. 1. Walk or rtin in the direction and lane indicated on the sign. 2. Athletic shoes are required. 3. Children under the age of 12 are NOT PERMITTED on the track, with the ex ception of children enrolled in a super vised class. 4. No standing or sitting on the track; the track is for exercisers only. 5. No gum, food or drinks on track. 6. No balls or other equipment on tTKk. 7. Please be courteous and aware of odier exercisers. 8. Those engaging in impn^xr conduct in the gym or track areas will be asked to leave the physical education facilities and may only return with the permission of the Health & Recreation E)irector.
