Family & Children Department Growing in ieaps and bounds! is what can be said about the Family S, Children Department at the Jewish Community Center, With the introduc tion of fun programs like “Kids Night Out” and “2nd Grade Round-Up” this past year, participation has skyrocketed! ‘School’s Out, J’s In" The “J Team” after-school program is also filled to capacity and there is never a dull moment! With unique and fun themes every day of the week to match the season, kids don’t want to go home when their parents come pick them up! ^^School’s Out, J’s In” helps kids’ imaginations soar! Morning field trips to fun places in Charlotte or learning new skills, like Tae Kwon Do make those days off more exciting and challenging for your kids than sitting at home and watching TV. Whether it's overnights, bowling, field trips or movie night, all these pro grams are designed to promote friendships, fun, imagination & excitement among kids. Most activities take place at the JCC, but occasionally happen off campus for a change of scenery. Watching the dynamics of the children participating and the friendships being made is an incredible experience for JCC staff and the children involved! It is very important for everyone in the Family and Children Department to provide a wide variety of programs for JCC members and maintain the exciting quality of existing programs.
