Federation News Federation Annual Meeting The Annual Meeting of the Jewish Federation of Greater C?hark)tte, chaired by Penny Upsitz, took place on Tuesday, April 29 at Temple Israel. The business meeting, including the election of officers and new board members for 2003-2004, pre ceded speaker Dr. Kenneth Stein, Professor at Emory University. Dr. Stein spoke on the topic “American and European Foreign Policy: Why We Will Never Agree.” Mary Wojnowich. Uon of Judah co chair. presents new Uon Adrienne Gossett with her pin. Sandra Levine accepts platimun Lion of Judah pin from her daughter Lori Sklut. The platinum Lion of Judah pin is fifiven to women who make an annual gift of SJOO.OOO. Andrea Cronson, co-chair of the Bernstein Leadership Group, accepts award from outgo ing President Sara Schreihman. The Bernstein Leadership Group won the “Super Sunday They Answered The CalV’ award for the third year in a row. The award is given to the group that provides the most volunteers for Super Sundav. Larry Polsky introduced Sara Schreihman, outgoing President, and on behalf of the Jewish Federation Board of Directors, presented her with a beautiful plaque. Sara Schreilnnan served as JFGC President from 2000-2003. Bill Gorelick, past president of the Jewish Federation and chair of the Nominating Committee, congratulates newly elected President Jill Newman. Of GteE/OTR OlARLCyiTE Shalom Y’all!
