His long-running quiz show. Win Ben Stein’s Money, ran for more than 900 episodes. He is the author of thirty books, including the major best seller How To Ruin Your Life and the more recent Can America Survive. He also introduced Jimmy Kimmel to an unsuspect ing but grateful world. If your eyes are red and need to be clear, you might also know him. He has been in dozens of movies and was a recurring character on “The Wonder Years” and on “Star Search,” but what he really likes best is speaking to people and meeting new friends. Jeff Epstein spoke to the group and the members also had an opportunity to socialize. “It’s vital that our community seek balance in our political rela tions,” said Epstein. “We want a voice with Republican office holders. ... When we need to sensitize them, we want them to hear it from friends and supporters.” Radio talk show host Jeff Katz was also in attendance. “I know there were some who wondered whether we’d have enough for a minyan,” said Katz, “but I’m happy to report we did many times over.” “So much for holding the meeting in a phone booth,” quipped Epstein. “We have a lot of interest from people who could not attend that night.” For more information, contact Robert Adle at 704-522-1985. ^
