The Charlotte Jewish News - April 2007 - Page 5 Super Sunday Volunteers Worked ‘Round the Clock Paul Leshne Linda Levy Kevin Levine Stephanie Brodsky Sandy Rosenberg Andrea Kahat Super Sunday, held March 11, was a huge success due to the efforts of our beneficiary agencies, our volunteers and our donors who all worked together to make it a special day. In eight hours, 68 volunteers from twelve agencies closed 500 cards and raised $56,051 representing a 21% card for card increase. The Jewish Federation appreciates the efforts of all of our agencies and volunteers who donated their time to make this day a success. Super Sunday co-chairs Crystal Ben-Yohanan and Elaine Moody wanted to make the day fun for the volunteers who called between the hours of 9 AM-1 PM and 5—9 PM, All throughouf the day, bells were ringing as solicitors signaled each other that a gift had been closed. Volunteers made phone calls, emailed pledge acknowledgements, wrote thank you notes, and assisted in the effort to call over 2,000 people. Drawings were held during each two-hour segment for gift certificates, generously donated by local area merchants and restaurants (listed below). A special thank you goes to the volunteers who generously donated their time to make Super Sunday a huge success. The volunteer who closed the most gifts and the volunteer who brought in the largest new gift will be recognized with a special presentation at Solicitor Appreciation on Saturday, April 28.
