The Charlotte Jewish News - May 2007 - Page 4 As Wolf Schenkler and his wife Nettie aged, they took good care of each other, with support from their sons. But Nettie has Alzheimer’s, and when her condition deteriorated, the family turned to the federation. A Jewish Family Services social worker became their lifeline, securing federation funding for home care and later helping the family find an appropriate nursing home for Nettie. Federation continues to fund Wolfs household helper so he can live independently, even in his 90s. Each year, Jewish federation sustains essential services and programs at home, in Israel and in 60 countries around the world. Be a part of this generous, pluralistic, and big-hearted community. Live Generously.® It does a world of good. JEWISH^ I FEDE^RAT10N$ ■ OF GREATER CHARLOTTE Local, Global, Eternal www.jewishcharlotte.org 704-944-6757
