Anyone interested in help finding a Job Seekers Support Group Temple Israel and Jewish Family Services are co-sponsor- ing a Job Seekers Support Group. The June meeting will be held on June 21. Meetings are from 6- 7:30 PM. The group will meet in the Board Room at Temple Israel. All members of the Jewish community seeking employment, looking to change jobs or change careers are invited to attend. ^ new job or interested in a career change should contact Sandy Lewis at 704-364-6594. Sandy is certified and licensed to administer the Myers Briggs Type Indicator which is‘>a personality test that helps one understand how we get our energy, how we gather infor mation, how we make decisions and how we then demonstrate these characteristics to the outside world. The grants span the entire state ind support a wide variety of pro grams. Whether helping to pro- dde meals and emergency shelter n Nashau, or assisting advocacy ffforts in Asheville, MAZON 'rants seek to achieve both short- ind long-term solutions to hunger. North Carolina ranks ninth in he nation in the percentage of people living in food insecure households, meaning that they have insufficient financial resources to meet basic nutritional needs. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, over 35 million Americans, including over 12 million children, are hun gry or on the verge of hunger. MAZON granted a total of $1,471,000 to 139 hunger relief organizations in the United States, Israel and other countries this fall. “For 22 years, MAZON has worked to bring critical relief to families in need,” said MAZON President Dr. H. Eric Schockman. “Our grantees and partners nation wide help make this possible, and we salute them for their visionary leadership and tireless effort.” Since 1986, MAZON has granted over $40 million in sup port of anti-hunger programs and advocacy working to end hunger and supply aid to needy families throughout the United States, Israel and other countries.
