Jewish Community Business Circle Goes Online
The Jewish Community
Business Circle - JCBC - has set
up a website using Meetup.com to
organize their future meetings.
Members can now post photos and
profiles, explain their businesses,
and contact each other outside of
the regular meetings. Members
can receive emails alerting them to
upcoming meetings and they can
find out more information on
upcoming topics and speakers. To
visit the site and sign up your busi
ness, go to www.meetup.com and
type “Jewish” in the search box.
The JCBC was organized in
2004 as a way to bring Jewish
business and professional leaders
together for advice and mutual
support. The group meets once a
month, on the third Tuesday, with
a guest speaker discussing a topic
of interest to our business commu
nity. Meetings are held at 6:30 PM
in Luski Hall, which is room 207
of the Bernstein Education
Building in Shalom Park.
The December meeting will
include a presentation from David
Van Glish, titled “Sell Yourself,
Not Your Product: The Path to
Sales Success.” Too often we

The fourth annual Charlotte
Jewish Film Festival is coming
March 1-8, 2008. We are pleased

festival this year:
Fine Arts and Film: CJFF at
the Mint on Tuesday, February 26
at 7 PM; Film: Rape of Europa. A
powerful documentary film of
the systematic theft, deliberate
destruction, and miraculous sur
vival of Europe’s art treasures dur
ing the Third Reich. This pre-fes
tival event will be co-sponsored
by The Mint Museum (museum
exhibits will be open to our film-
goers for free).
Opening Night and Reception
on Saturday night, March 1 at the
Ballantyne Village Theatre; Film:
What a Wonderful Place (Eize
Makom Nifla). Filmmaker and
very little time building a rapport
with our prospect or client. David
will share his 25 years of sales
experience and discuss ways to
quiekly build relationships, find
common ground, and listen to
potential clients before a word is
said about your business. David is
a financial advisor with Merrill
Lynch and partners with his moth
er, Judie. Together, they have
more than 21 years of experience
in the financial services industry.
