Camp Judaea Offers $1000 Camper
Incentive Grants to the First 95
Applicants
Camp Judaea has received the
opportunity to invite 95 new fami
lies to receive $1000 toward the
summer 2008 tuition for one child
attending a three-week session.
This camper incentive is limited
and will be distributed to eligible
families upon receipt of the com
pleted grant application. This
grant is not based on need. Camp
Judaea is extremely thankful to the
Foundation for Jewish Camping
and National Young Judaea for
their efforts in creating this amaz
ing opportunity for its campers.
Camp Judaea, one of the six
regional camps across America
sponsored by Hadassah, is located
in Hendersonville, NC. Each sum
mer 500 campers from the South
and Mid-Atlantic states participate
in two-, four-, or eight-week ses
sions. Located on 118 acres of lush
rolling terrain that offers clean air,
blue skies, and tall trees in a beau
tiful mountain setting, Camp
Judaea’s programs include horse
back riding, basketball, softball,
arts and crafts, ceramics, drama,
field trips, amusement parks, a fun
swimming program, canoeing,
tennis, special teen trips to New
York and Washington, DC, and
much more.
Camp Judaea offers “a little bit
of Israel in the heart of the Blue
Ridge Mountains.” Camp staff
members place a special emphasis
on Jewish heritage and a connec
tion to Israel. Each age group has
a theme-oriented program consist
ing of informal educational activi
ties programmed by the staff
members. Camp Judaea is
equipped with two kosher kitchens
and provides an enriching Shabbat
experience. Camp Judaea is a boys
and girls camp, for children cur
rently in the 2nd-10th grades.
