This year’s institute will run August 14-17 at Wildacres Retreat, Little Switzerland, NC. Farbraing Mit Vndz Featuring an outstanding facul ty for 2008 — Ali & Gene Kavadio; speeches, lectures and recitals from this outstanding Klezmer duo; Cantor Robert Abelson: cantor, opera singer, entertainer; Joyce Rosenzweig: world renowned pianist, arranger, entertainer; Paul Nitsch: pianist, professor of music and artist in residence at Queens University. Yiddishkeyt Abounds: ’•'Concerts; *Faculty lectures in Yiddish and English; *Yiddish language classes; *Folk singing and dancing; ’•'Daily and Shabbes services; *Judaica Gift Shop. The Charlotte Yiddish Institute is open to men, women and teens who enjoy the Yiddish language, and are dedicated to enhancing the understanding of Yiddishkeit, in a culturally stimulating “heymish atmosphere.” Fees: *$310.00 per person (double occupancy only); *$200.00 per teen (13-19); *$ 150.00 additional per person fee for private room Fees cover tuition, room, kosher meals and gratuities. Full fee must accompany registration. Guest Rooms: All rooms w/pri- vate bath located in two modem mountain view lodges. Cancellation Policy: Full fee will be refunded if cancellation is made prior to July 30. An adminis tration charge of $50 will be charged to all late cancellations. Arrival and Registration: Thursday August 14, 2008 from: 2-5 PM. Departure: Sunday August 17, at 11 AM. Transportation: Directions for travel to Wildacres by auto will be sent upon receipt of reservations.
