The Charlotte Jewish News - May 2008 - Page 17 Hadassah and Israel - Partners in Building the Future By Heidi Rotberg, president, Charlotte Chapter of Hadassah Sixty years is certainly a time for celebration. As we conclude this Hadassah season, we eagerly look forward to our year long events in commemoration of Israel@60. It is truly a time to rejoice and to mark Hadassah’s indelible connection with the State of Israel. Imagine Hadassah in 1912. Imagine Hadassah through the decades, hand in hand with Israel, building for the future and bringing healthcare and education to a people. Imagine Israel and Hadassah today with our global achievements in technology and medicine - building bridges to peace. Now imagine and rejoice as we see how each of your efforts has made a difference. Imagine the people whose lives you have helped save through our fundraising efforts this year. And it all happened because of your generos ity, your indomitable spirit and your determination to reach our goals. Imagine the hew members who have joined our ranks and have added their voices to our nation wide advocacy efforts. Imagine the women, men and children who have benefited from our work not only in Israel, but here in our com munity. We have fos tered and expanded membership through community initiatives. We have helped to edu cate and engage our members and the larger community with a wide variety of offerings. We cannot imagine having achieved so much this year without you, our members and leaders - talented women with the vision to help us shape the future for another sixty years. To each of you, I offer a very personal thank you. Todah rabah\ Imagine Israel today and cele brate.
