The three charming narra tors transform potentially dry.the ological discourses into personal, intimate heart-to-hearts .... An invitation to discussion that’s hard to turn down ~ and a natural for book groups.” Praise like this for The Faith Club certainly whets the appetite. That’s why the Temple Israel Sisterhood and the Temple . Israel Book Club have joined together to present this book club discussion on November 19. The Faith Club, written jointly by Ranya Idliby, Suzanne Oliver and Priscilla Warner is a ground breaking book about Americans searching for faith and mutual respect, weaving the story of three women, their three religions, and their urgent quest to understand one another. The book includes an abun dance of information about these three faiths, touching on such top ics as “What We Call God,” “Worship and Prayer,” “Holy Book,” “Rituals” and “Holidays.” An accounting of the number of world-wide adherents to each faith is also included. The book is available at the Levine-Sklut Judaic Library, the public library, at local book stores for about $15 and for less on-line. As is the case with all Temple Israel Book Club meetings, this joint meeting with the Temple Israel Sisterhood on Wednesday, November 19, is open to the entire community, even those who haven’t read the book.
