Neil Lazarus Speaks on Effective Communication for Israel SPEDAUZINGIN: Life Insurance« Health Insurance • Dental & Vision Insurance « Disability & Long Term Care Coverage • Annuities * HSA’s Speaking to hundreds of stu dents at Hebrew High on Wednesday night, Neil Lazarus captured the hearts and minds of our youth as he assisted them in becoming stronger and more confident advocates for Israel. Recognizing the importance of effective Israel advocacy training for teens, Neil took them through exercises that helped them understand their personal connections with our homeland. Kim Gould, a student at Hebrew High, was intrigued by his charisma and passion for speaking about Israel: “He was very funny and kept me very entertained. What he said made a lot of sense to me. I really respected how he presented and I learned a lot about politics and about Israel and how the country runs. Next time, I will feel com fortable diving into the conver sation when someone brings the topic up.” Neil also spoke with the Speakers Bureau, the JCRC’s team of Israel advocacy speak- ers-in-training. The Speakers Bureau participants were motivated by Neil’s presenta tion, stating this he was “absolutely brilliant.” Ellen Engelhard! said, “Thank you for helping us to become better advocates. I still can’t pick my jaw up off the floor.” Neil was able to bring an incredible wealth of knowledge not only about Israel advocacy from a factual perspective, but also provided tips on the most effective forms of communication - all with a twist of humor. The Speakers Bureau is currently training interested individuals to become advo cates for Israel. For more information, please contact Sarah Kaplan. The Speakers Bureau is made possible thanks to a micro grant received from the Israel Advocacy Initiative.
