The Charlotte Jewish News - December 2008 - Page 9 Good News for Israelis and Others Who Read Hebrew like Native Israeiis We are pleased to announce that a collection of books in Hebrew written by Israeli authors or translated literature will soon be available in the Levine-Sklut Judaic Library and Resource Center (LSJL). The library is located at the JCC’s back entrance. Here is our plan: All the Israelis in town will donate to the LSJL books that were published in the past five years, DVDs and music. A team of volunteers will organize the books. A grand opening party is planned for a future date. Details will follow. Please tell your friends. In order to fund new activities for Hebrew speaking res idents-and their friends, each borrower will pay a small amount when he/she borrows a bookfs.). All monies col lected will be dedicated exclusively for programming for local Israelis and friends. In order to ensure the success of the “project,” we need your help. Please bring adult and children’s books, or literature translated into Hebrew, DVDs and music. Every donation will be gratefully appreciated. We hope that you will be as excited as we are. We believe that we can make your life here a little bit more fun and interesting. We will be happy to hear your suggestions. Please do not hesitate to call and tell us your ideas or just call to chat.
