Talmud Torah’s Friday Night Live
A successful first half of the
year for Talmud Torah students led
to a spectacular “Friday Night
Live” Shabbaton for Talmud
Torah families. Here is what
occurred: After candle lighting
with Morah Channie, we joined
everyone in shul for Friday Night
services. It came as a surprise to
many when Rabbi Groner intro
duced our very own Yerucham
Lipsitz to be our scholar-in-resi-
dence for the service. Not once but
twice.
After the prayers, we joined
together for a delicious meal pre
pared by Morah Channie, Morah
Pessie, and company (all credits
listed below). Rabbi Weiss taught
us several songs, or better yet.
how to sing on key ©. And Ms.
Jen taught us how to create appro
priate sentences using random
words (without having to use
“Rabbi Ben Tzion” in every possi
ble sentence).
All in all, it was a wonderful
experience, and we look forward
to the next Talmud Torah
Shabbaton.

“Community” in
Community Seder

Seder on April 12 at
McGill Baptist Church.
Whether this will be
your first Seder or 75th,

Temple Or Olam is a
small congregation that
prides itself on its sense of com
munity and the warn welcome it

The Seder will be a potluck, so
you will have a chance to sample
the culinary specialties of the con
gregation, whose varying back
grounds assure a feast that goes
