Viva Klezmer is well known for their rendition of Klezmer music traditionally heard in Eastern Europe. One can not enjoy Klezmer without the rhythmic sound of the clarinet and the melodic sound of the violin. Gene and Ali Kavadlo, lead musicians with the Charlotte Symphony, together with their accompanying musicians, will be one of the fea tured music acts at the Shalom Lake Norman Festival. The Shalom Lake Norman Festival is sponsored by the Jewish Council of Lake Norman and the Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte. The entire com munity and our surrounding neighbors are invited to spend the afternoon at the lake and enjoy ethnic food, dancing and music. For the children there will be an opportunity to climb the “Kotel” (a climbing wall), sail a boat on “Yam Kinneret” (Sea of Galilee/Lake Norman), slides and jumping rides too. For young, and young at heart, there will be a craft section to participate in. For the shoppers, Judaica art and jewelry will be displayed and available for purchase. We recommend that you bring a lounge chair to enjoy the view and entertainment. Come and enjoy. Remember the date, time and place: Shalom Lake Norman Festival, Ramsey Creek Park.
