Havurat Tikvah members and friends play an integral role in the twice-weekly soup kitchen at First Christian Church in Dilworth; the soup kitchen provides a “restau rant” atmosphere along with a family-style welcome to those in need of a good, nourishing meal. Another ongoing activity is “Project Linus,” where members meet to produce “security” blan kets for children who are seriously ill, fraumatized, or otherwise in need. Interested in participating? Call the number below for more information. Havurat Tikvah is an affiliate of the Jewish Reconstructionist Federation. We provide a com fortable, family atmosphere where all Jews can feel welcome. We encourage participation in the community and in our services. Sunday School and B’nai Mitzvah preparation are available for chil dren. Feel free to visit, get to know us, and become part of our growing congregation of over 50 households .
