Evening to Honor Sam
Bernstein a Huge Success
On Saturday, October 24 the
Levine-Sklut Judaic Library and
Resource Center featured a con
cert by UNC Jewish A Cappella
Group Sababa in honor of Sam
Bernstein. Sababa entertained the
audience with a variety of music
from Israeh to Shabbat Prayers
and their enthusiasm was felt by
all.
The Levine-Sklut Judaic
Library and Resource Center has
been so fortunate to have had the
wisdom and guidance of Sam dur
ing these formative years at the
Library, and the entire Jewish
community of Charlotte has bene-
fitted from his leadership as well.
The concert was followed by a
special dessert reception in the
library, where one hundred and
fifty people enjoyed delicious
homemade treats.
We are truly grateful to all who
have donated to the Levine-Sklut
Judaic Library in honor of Sam.
Your support is vital and allows
the Library to fulfill its mission: to
enhance quality, increase access,
and encourage participation in
lifelong Jewish education and
learning throughout the greater
Charlotte community.
