In Feruary of 2010, my family and I attended my cousin’s Bar Mitzvah where my dad introduced me to Mr. Hirschmann. I asked if he had ever spoken about his life to a school class and he said it had been two years since he has spoken about his life. I asked him if he would speak at my school and he said he would love to. On April 22, Mr. Hirschmann spoke at my school and his life story was very interesting and sad as 5th-12th graders were there to listen. Mr. Hirschmann is so nice, I will never forget him and the experi ence of listening to a holocaust survivor. ^ Ellis Sandler is a 6th grader at Davidson Day School. She spear headed the program to bring Henry Hirschmann to speak to students, faculty, and parents about his Holocaust experience. She is the daughter of Bernie and Susan Sandler and the sister of Mollie, who is in the 9th grade. Standing, left to ri^ Susan Sandler, Mollie Sandler, Bernie Sandler, and Ellis Sandler.
