It was Celebration 30 for Lubavitch of North Carolina where people feasted on exquisite holiday delights and enjoyed a spectacular performance by mentalist Guy Bavli. The talk of town was the spe cial video shown on the big screen in the High Octane theatre of NASCAR where there was the story of a different kind of race. It is race to transform the Charlotte Jewish landscape and see how Judaism can actually thrive in NASCAR country. The video is humorous yet it delivers a serious message with a positive view of the future. Photo by Lindsay Hart Shadow Theatre Stars at Temple Emanuel in Gastonia s Saturday night December 4, Temple Emanuel Sisterhood hosted a gala dinner in honor of Hanukkah. The Religious School students performed in Shadow theatre style the story of Hanukkah. There was an encore performance the next morning at Religious School.
