He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences with Highest Honors from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1975. He went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Entomology from the same university in 1979, with Highest Honors. Professor Kunich has exten sive experience in the mass media. He has appeared on tel evised news broadcasts on MSNBC, PBS, and Fox News. Professor Kunich was one of only a handful of experts fea tured in a major CNN International television spe cial, broadcast around the world in late 2004. His quotes have appeared many times in USA Today as well as Christian Science Monitor, Kansas City Star, and other major newspapers.
