JEWISH^ FEDE^RATlON$ OF GREATER CHARLOTTE Local, Global, Eternal as of May 17, 2011 On May 5, the Jewish Community Relations Council sponsored “Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow: Germany and the Jewish People, ” a panel discussion about the current relationship among Germany, Israel, and Jewish people all over the globe. Surprisingly, the audience dis covered that after the U.S., Germany is Israel’s #2 ally. Additionally, the panel explained that the Jewish community is growing in Germany in an atmosphere of acceptance and equality.
